Not one of the Three Musketeers, honest Rocketed to Earth as an infant to escape the destruction of his homeplanet, Keith R.A. DeCandido was raised by a pack of feral librarians in the wilderness known as the Bronx until he was bitten by a radioactive editor and given powers far beyond those of mortal wordsmiths. Vowing to use his powers only for personal profit, he got into publishing. In over ten years in the SF/fantasy/horror/comics field, Keith has been an author, editor, comics writer, critic, art director, book packager, musician, interviewer, and TV personality. Much of his work lately consists of tie-ins: novels, short stories, nonfiction books, eBooks, and comic books in the worlds of Star Trek, Farscape, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Marvel Comics, Doctor Who, Xena, Young Hercules, and Magic: The Gathering. He also coedited the anthologies OtherWere: Stories of Transformation, Urban Nightmares, and Virtual Unrealities: The Short Fiction of Alfred Bester, and has edited a broad range of genre fiction, ranging from annotated editions of classic horror to superhero novels to YA fantasy to helping bring Alfred Bester back into print. Keith is also the percussionist for the acclaimed rock band the Don't Quit Your Day Job Players, who released their second CD Blues Spoken Here in 1999.
